The Urban County Program is requesting approval and award of contract to JLV Utility Construction in the amount of $85,240.00 for the Water/Sewer Improvements to Lane Subdivision 1 & 2 (Redgate) in Precinct No. 4, utilizing Year 19 (2006) funds. The project consists of the installation of water line to the subdivision.
BACKGROUND
Precinct No. 4 has requested and received bids for the water/sewer improvements. City of Edinburg - Engineering Department prepared specification packages and bids were received and opened at the Hidalgo County – Purchasing Department on May 20, 2009. After review the project engineer recommended JLV Utility Construction, as the lowest of twelve (12) bidders. (See attached recommendation letter from the City of Edinburg – Engineering Department, and copy of bid tabulations.)
