BACKGROUND
Funding of the FY2009 Operation Stonegarden Supplemental will be $30,000,000.00. The State of Texas was allocated $12,785,330.00, of which $500,762.00 is assigned to Hidalgo County. Funds are to be used to increase operational capabilities of law enforcement within the U.S. Southern Border States that border Mexico.
Applications are to be submitted electronically through the Office of Justice Programs Grants Management System (GMS). The deadline for submitting the application is August 25, 2009. The grant performance period is for thirty-six (36) months.
