The Urban County Program is requesting approval and award of contract to The 5125 Company in the amount of $29,000.00 for the Clearance & Demolition project utilizing Year 20 (2007) Precinct No. 1 funds for the City of Elsa.

BACKGROUND

Hidalgo County Precinct No. 1, requested and received bids for a Clearance and Demolition project to include the demolishing and clearance of three commercial properties which include four dilapidated structures in designated slum & blighted areas within the City of Elsa.  The lowest qualified bid was received from The 5125 Company in the amount of $29,000.00.  City council met on August 31, 2009, to approve the recommendation to Hidalgo County Commissioner’s court for approval of contract.  See attached minute excerpts, and copy of letter from city.
