BACKGROUND
1.CSBG Amendment 2 raises the funding allottment from 25% to 42%-$1,609,797 availability.
CSBG Amendment 3 raises the funding allottment from 42% to 75%, plus an additional increase of $57,415.52,of 2008 statewide unexpended funds-$1,778,377.52 availability. Both amendments are a part of the CSBG (Community Service Block Grant Contract).
2.CSBG ARRA (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act) Contract for $2,757,585.00 for FY August 1, 2009 to Sept. 30, 2010. This contract facilitates a cooperative agreement with our local Texas Workforce Commission for expansion of employment related services through re-training/educational opportunities and additional supportive services.
3. Interlocal Agency Agreement with TWC is to provide the ARRA services as per our CSBG Contract. This agreement will expand TWC's goal of 100 clients to 450 with our funds. Eligible clients will may receive financial aid, stipends, child care, and any other supportive service needed. Approximately 35 veterans and immediate family members will be targeted for the same services.
4.CEAP Amendment 1 includes additional funding of $171,920 and raises the initial contract to $5,521,948.00
5.Requesting electronic authorization to sign-off completion for timely submittals as per contract obligations.
