1. Requesting exemption from competitive bidding requirements under the Texas Local Government Code 262.024 (a)(4) for Professional Engineering services.

2. Presentation of the scoring grid (of at least three (3) engineering firms from the County’s approved “pool” as graded and evaluated by UCP Home Staff) for the purposes of ranking by Commissioners' Court in connection with an Urban County Program Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation project for a certificate of elevation.

Urban County Program HOME Staff has rated three engineering service firms from the County’s approved “pool”.  R. Gutierrez Engineering, Inc., J.E. Saenz & Associates, Inc., & Millennium Engineers Group Inc. were rated for a Housing Rehab project that requires a certificate of elevation prior to construction services.  In addition, due the potential of future projects within flood zones, the Urban County Program Staff is requesting a one (1) year contract for said services.     See attached scoring grid for your review.
