The Urban County Program requests authorization to advertise for construction and related activities for all projects identified in the 2010-2011 One –Year Action Plan, and subsequent amendments.

The Urban County Program submitted Hidalgo County’s One- Year Action Plan to HUD on May 11, 2010 after receiving Commissioner’s Court Approval on May 11, 2010. The submitted plan outlines the intended use of CDBG,HOME, ESG and Colonia funds administered by the Urban County Program. The plan further defines the specific projects to be implemented in terms of scope, location and budget availability. In an effort to expedite fund expenditures, the Urban County Program is seeking authorization to advertise for the required services to implement these projects at the onset of the program year in order to eliminate repetitive agenda items pertaining to the Plan and to shorten the administrative process for their implementation.
