On behalf of the Hidalgo County Precinct No. 4, Urban County Program is requesting approval to reject the sole bid submitted by Saenz Utility Contractors of Elsa, TX with a base bid of $317,829.00, including Addendum's No. 1 and 2 with a total amount of $44,232.00 for Year 22 (2009) HUD CDBG-R Faysville Pump Station flood drainage improvements.
BACKGROUND
Bid was received and opened at the Hidalgo County Purchasing Department on August 04, 2010. After review the project engineer recommended that the sole bid be rejected, due to the lack of adequate bid participation. See attached recommendation letter from Raul Sessin, P.E., CFM and a concurrence letter from the Precinct.
