Urban County Program for the City of Peñitas is requesting consideration and action to award and enter into a Construction Contract with Total Commitment for the Street Improvements at Barcelona and Espanola Heights in the City of Peñitas in the amount of $357,792.50 utilizing UCP Year 17, 18, 20, 21, & 22 (2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, & 2009), Urban County Street Improvements line item.
BACKGROUND
The bid opening was held September 1, 2010 and the lowest bidder meeting all specifications and/or requirements was Total Commitment. The project involves drainage, water/sewer, and paving infrastructure at Barcelona and Espanola Heights in the City of Peñitas. See attached recommendation by the project engineer. (Project Engineering Firm: Sam Engineering & Surveying, Inc. aka SAMES, Inc).
