Urban County Program on behalf of the City of Mercedes is requesting authority to purchase Fire Station Equipment through Hidalgo County’s membership and participation with Buy Board, approved vendor Dooley Tackaberry, (contract #284-08) in the amount of $5,323.55 (quote attached hereto) to include fees and discounts as requested by the City of Mercedes.  UCP Year 23 (2010) Mercedes – Fire Station Equipment funds will be utilized along with City of Mercedes General Funds.

BACKGROUND

The Wildland Bunker Gear to be purchased will be utilized by the Volunteer Fire Department within the City of Mercedes.  Dooley Tackaberry is an approved vendor through the Buy Board, Contract #284-08.  Delivery is expected within 30 days from receipt of purchase order.
