Consideration and Approval of the Resolution of the Commissioners' Court of the County of Hidalgo, Texas regarding funding from the Texas Department of Rural Affairs Disaster Recovery Program (TDRA-DR) in the amount of $600,000.00 and additional funding committed by Hidalgo County Precinct No. 2 in the amount of $535,408.39 for a total of $1,135,408.39 to be used towards drainage improvements for the project known as Minnesota Drainage Project.

The Urban County Program has been coordinating with Hidalgo County Precinct No. 2 in an effort to submit an amendment request to TDRA to amend contract DRS010068 and incorporate the $600,000.00 relinquished by the City of San Juan (a request approved by the Texas Department of Rural Affairs and the Lower Rio Grande Development Council) to Hidalgo County which will allow the County to make regional drainage improvements to an area where the City intended to apply the state awarded funds (area along and around Minnesota Rd.).
