The Urban County Program is requesting the award of bids and approval of contract for the demolition and reconstruction of the following:
1. (1) Unit in the Countywide area in the amount of $47,400.00 to Rigney Construction & Development.
2. (1) Unit in the City of San Juan, (1) unit in the City of Edcouch, (1) unit in the City of Progreso and (2) units in the City of Weslaco in the amount of $243,510.00 to G & G Contractors.

BACKGROUND
The applicants were approved to receive assistance under the Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Program by the County Commissioners’ Court on May 31, 2011, December 29, 2011, March 27, 2012, April 24, 2012 and May 1, 2012. Bids were received and opened at the Hidalgo County Purchasing Department on Wednesday, May 16, 2012.
