Requesting approval to submit a request to the United States International Boundary and Water Commission (USIBWC) by Ramiro Gutierrez Engineering Corporation on behalf of Hidalgo County, to obtain a license to construct a new roadway (Pct 2 Tower Rd) across the IBWC floodway to connect Tower Rd from Rancho Blanco Rd to Juan Balli Rd.

BACKGROUND
Precinct No. 2 has been coordinating with Ramiro Gutierrez Engineering Corporation in an effort to obtain a license for construction from USIBWC for the Tower Road Project. Permit applications submitted to USIBWC for license to construct, operate, and maintain through, upon, or across a levee or other works operated and maintained by the United States Section cannot be considered and approved by the US Section without prior approval and recommendation from local County authorities designated by the County Commissioners’ Court for such purpose.
