Urban County Program on behalf of the City of Weslaco is requesting consideration and action to award and enter into a construction contract with J Con Construction, LLC for a public facility (library restroom renovation) project located within the City of Weslaco. Total contract amount of $82,500.00 utilizing UCP - City of Weslaco FY’s 24 & 25 (2011 & 2012) public facility funds.
BACKGROUND
The City of Weslaco has requested and received bids for the public facilities (library restroom renovations) project. Alcocer Garcia Associates, Inc., Architect prepared the specification packages; bids were received and opened at the Hidalgo County – Purchasing Department on September 25, 2013. After review the architect recommended J Con Construction, LLC, as the lowest of three (3) qualified bidders. (See attached recommendation letter from Alcocer Garcia Associates, Inc. and a copy of bid tabulations.)
