Discussion, consideration, and approval to execute an agreement between the County of Hidalgo and HEB Grocery Company, LP to act as an agent of the County in the issuance of Motor Vehicle License Renewal Stickers.
BACKGROUND
HEB Grocery Company, LP has been a limited-service authorized agent for Hidalgo County since 1998. The Tax Assessor-Collector is updating the existing contract to reflect changes in the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles Web Agent Program. This program replaces the previous Remote Sticker Printing System (RSPS). HEB will also be adding 2 additional stores to the current list of locations. (McAllen Trenton Road / Palmhurst E. Mile 3).
