Discussion, consideration, and approval of Demonstration Year 2 Uncompensated Care (DY2 UC) draw down in the amount of $9,000,000 from general fund and $22,529,901.62 from LPP fund for a total IGT of $31,529,901.62 (subject to change based on HHHS final instructions)
BACKGROUND
HHSC has been reviewing your applications for the Demonstration Year 2 Uncompensated Care (DY 2 UC) supplemental payments. As our reviews are drawing to a close, we want to share with you several important dates regarding the upcoming UC payment:
On April 25th HHSC sent an email detailing important dates for the DY2 Uncompensated Care payments. In that email, HHSC stated that the settlement date for all IGT's was May 30th. This date has been changed to June 2nd. Please see the detail below with revised dates.
Friday, April 25th- The last date to submit HHSC-requested supporting documentation, unless otherwise noted by HHSC. In order for HHSC to make timely payments, please keep a watchful eye on your email for the next few days for any correspondence from the HHSC uctools@hhsc.state.tx.us email address. We may need some final documentation from your hospital to complete the processing of your application. If we do not receive your responses in a timely manner, there is a possibility HHSC would not be able to process your application in time for the DY 2 UC payment.
Wednesday, May 6th- HHSC will send a broadcast email containing DY 2 UC payment amounts to all providers. Please review your payment amount. If you have questions or concerns, you will have until Friday, May 8th to communicate them to HHSC.
Friday, May 16th-HHSC will send out IGT commitment forms to all providers and government entities asking for the maximum IGT the government entity can fund based on the providers maximum DY 2 UC payment amount. These forms will be due back to HHSC on Tuesday, May 20th.
Tuesday, May 27th-IGT Notification Date. HHSC will email a spreadsheet to all providers and government entities containing final DY 2 UC payment amounts based IGT availability provided in the IGT commitment forms.
Friday, May 30th-Last day to enter IGT into TexNet. Because the settlement date for all IGTs is Monday, June 2nd, all IGTs must be entered the day before at the latest.
