Requesting approval of a budget and program amendment for the City of Weslaco to its Urban County Program FY’s 24 & 25 (2011 & 2012) work plans. The amendment will add the following scope of work to the Water/Sewer Improvements activity for FY 24 (2011): the installation of water lines and sewer lines and related street improvements to an already existing project in Fiscal Years 26 & 27 (2013 & 2014); decrease the Public Facilities by $31,367.30 and create a Public Service (general) library in the amount of $31,367.30 for FY 25 (2012).

BACKGROUND

A Public Hearing was held on October 7, 2014 at 6:00 P.M. and citizen participation requirements have been met. The City of Weslaco approved a budget and program amendment for FY’s 24 & 25 (2011 & 2012):

FY 24 (2011)
The proposed amendment will add the following project description to the water/sewer improvements project: the installation of water lines and sewer lines and related street improvements to include but not limited to engineering, advertisements and material testing as it pertains to project completion. All water and sewer lines will be installed in the alleys between the following streets; main roads of Calle Del Cedro, Calle Del Pino, Missouri Avenue and Texas Blvd, environmentally cleared in FY 25 (2013).

FY 25 (2012)
The proposed amendment will decrease the public facilities improvements (library) activity by $31,367.30 and create a Public Service (general) library activity in the amount of $31,367.30 for the purchase of minor equipment, furnishings shelving and related fixtures for the library.
