Discussion, consideration, and approval to submit the Emergency Operations Plan forms as required by the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM).

BACKGROUND

The Hidalgo County Emergency Operations Plan (E.O.P.) was last updated in 2011 and must be updated and resubmitted to the Texas Division of Emergency Management at least every (5) years. The E.O.P. consists of the Basic Plan and Twenty-two annexes which are assigned to the appropriate county officials and department heads for update, approval and signature. This agenda item will streamline the E.O.P. approval process and allow for the annexes to be executed by the designated signatories as soon as the review and approval process is completed for each annex.
