The Urban County Program requests authorization to advertise for construction and related activities for all projects identified in the 2016-2017 One Year Action Plan and  subsequent amendments, TDHCA, TDA, Colonia funded activities and Texas General Land Office projects.

Annually the Urban County Program submits the Hidalgo County One Year Action Plan to HUD after receiving Commissioners’ Court Approval. The submitted plan outlines the intended use of CDBG, HOME and ESG. The plan further defines the specific projects to be implemented in terms of scope, location and budget availability. Additionally, the Urban County Program administers projects for the GLO, TDA and TDHCA which also requires advertising. In an effort to expedite fund expenditures, the Urban County Program is seeking authorization to advertise for the required services to implement these programs in order to eliminate repetitive agenda items pertaining to the Plan and to shorten the administrative process for their implementation.
