The Urban County Program is requesting approval of a budget and program amendment for the City of San Juan. The proposed amendment is for Fiscal Years 23, 24, 25, 27 & 28 (2010, 2011, 2012, 2014 & 2015) Work Plans. The amendment will add the 2015 and 2016 Street Improvement Project to all years to allow the expenditure of available funds for project completion.

A Public Hearing was held on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 6:00 P.M. at the San Juan Memorial Library and citizen participation requirements have been met. The City of San Juan approved the amendment as proposed for funding years 23, 24, 25, 27 & 28 (2010, 2011, 2012, 2014 & 2015). All funding will be utilized for the two existing and already environmentally cleared Street Improvement Projects.

2015 Street Improvement Project includes:
Project consists of the repaving of several streets (Iowa, 3rd and 4th) including but not limited to adjacent/abutting streets within the same general vicinity, related appurtenances, professional engineering services, geotechnical and material testing, etc. Locations: Iowa Street (from 1st Street to Railroad), 3rd Street (from Kansas to Wyoming), and 4th Street (from Kansas to Wyoming), San Juan TX 78589.

2016 Street Improvement Project includes:
Project consists of the re-construction of several streets to include but not limited to adjacent/abutting streets within the same general vicinity and any related appurtenances. Other expenditures will include professional engineering services, surveying, geotechnical and construction material testing fees, etc. Locations: Salazar St. (from Pullin Ave. to Coconut Palm Ave.) Pullin Avenue (from FM 495 to Salazar St.), Hooper Avenue (from FM 495 to Salazar St.) and Coconut Palm Ave. (from FM 495 to Salazar St.), San Juan, TX 78589.
