Requesting approval of a program amendment for the City of Alamo FY’s 24, 25, 26, 27 & 29 (2011-2014 & 2016) work plans. Fiscal years 2011-2014: will delete the current scope of work and add the replacement of approximately 6,000 linear feet of waterlines to Highview S/D. Fiscal year 2016: will add the installation of approximately 4,600 LF of 8” pvc waterlines to Regency Acres S/D. 

BACKGROUND

A Public Hearing was held on January 17, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. and citizen participation requirements have been met. The City of Alamo approved the program amendment for its FY’s 24, 25, 26, 27 & 29 (2011-2014 & 2016):

FYs 24, 25, 26, & 27 (2011-2014)
Delete the current scope of work which consisted of: the purchase and installation of a new water distribution system along the south side of SH 495 from Alamo Road to Cesar Chavez Road and along the east side of Cesar Chavez Road from SH 495 to approximately 600 feet north of US Expressway 83, for fiscal years 2011-2013.

Add: The new scope of work will include the following: the replacement of approximately 6,000 linear feet of waterlines to Highview S/D, to include but not limited to water valves, fire hydrants, the re-connection of all existing meters and any incidental cuts and replacement of existing asphalt to adjacent/abutting alleys within the same general vicinity. Other expenditures will include professional engineering services, surveying, geotechnical and construction material testing fees, etc. This project was previously environmentally cleared in FY 29 (2016).
