3. Approval of revised salary schedules
BACKGROUND
The Urban County Program Finance Manager recently accepted a position with a local school district. In light of continued budget cuts to the Community Development Block Grant Program and operational changes related to compliance with County of Hidalgo policies, I am recommending that the position remain vacant. In the interest of saving funds, I am recommending that the duties be assigned as additional duties to existing staff.
Additionally, an adjustment is also recommended for Slot # 0002 (State Colonia Programs) for additional duties out of the State of Texas funding realm. The additional duties are related to the implementation of the U.S. Department of HUD Emergency Grant Program (ESG), which requires compliance with federal regulations.
