Recommendation for CC to reject the bids received [as they are not in the best interest of the County] for project titled: "Auctioneer, Storage and Other Related Services" through Request for Bid No.: 2018-043-04-11-SGS and re-advertise with modifications to current specifications that will be drafted by Purchasing with assistance of the Executive Officer and specific end users with review and comment as to form [complete bid packet] through HC-DA/Civil Section prior to release to interested participants.

BACKGROUND

1. 16 packets distributed - 2 bids received, one (1) did not meet requirements
2. Bid is based on a 40% charge of gross receipts;.
3. Current contract expires: July 1, 2018;
4. Contract document was reviewed & approved by Legal Counsel as to form;
5. New anticipated timeline:  contingent of new modified packet ready for distribution:
    Ad dates of 6/9 & 16, 2018 or 6/16 & 23, 2018.
