Discussion and approval of a second amendment to the Full Service Deputy Contract by and between Hidalgo County and BridgePoint Insurance Agency & Permit Center, LLC subject to the Full Service Deputy providing surety bonds in the amount of $100,000 per location and final legal review.
BACKGROUND
Hidalgo County has an agreement in place with the TxDMV to lease additional equipment for providing services related to the operation of the automated registration and titling system. This is in accordance with Texas Transportation Code Sec 520.0093. The full service deputy sub-leases from the county all receipt printing equipment (Point of Sale Workstation) and supplies needed for issuance to the public by the full service deputy vehicle registration renewals and title transfers. BridgePoint Insurance is currently sub-leasing ten (10) RTS workstations.
