Approval to submit an agreement proposed to the Arizona State University (ASU) Foundation for a New American University through the Buffett-McCain Institute for funding to help support activities that combat human trafficking. 

Funds will help the District Attorney's Office to enhance and place an emphasis on the prosecution of labor trafficking cases, training of law enforcement officers, providing of victims services, creation of prevention education and the development of a community coordinated victim centered response to human trafficking in our region.

Agreement is in the preliminary stages; once agreement has been finalized and returned to us by the ASU Foundation, and no changes are warranted, then it will be presented to court for acceptance of award and actual amount of award will be disclosed.
