Requesting authorization to dispose of Community Development Block Grant financial records for the Program Years 2006-2008. Please see Exhibit “A”.

BACKGROUND

The Urban County Program wishes to have the boxes listed on Exhibit “A” disposed of.  Federal regulation
calls for a 3 year retention period; however, UCP chooses to retain records for a longer period. 
The retention of records start from the date of submission of the grantee’s CAPER in which the specific
activity is reported for the last time (date of close-out).  Records include accounts payable, bank
reconciliations and journal entries.
