Requesting approval of Resolution authorizing to advertise for construction and related activities for all projects identified in all Program Years- One Year Action Plans, subsequent amendments and Colonia funded activities (Texas General Land Office, Texas Department of Agriculture and Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, etc.).

Annually the Urban County Program submits the Hidalgo County One Year Action Plan to HUD after receiving Commissioners’ Court Approval. The submitted plans outline the intended use of CDBG, HOME, ESG, GLO, TDA & TDHCA funds administered by the Urban County Program. The plans further define the specific projects to be implemented in terms of scope, location and budget availability. In an effort to expedite fund expenditures, the Urban County Program is seeking authorization to advertise for the required services to implement these programs in order to eliminate repetitive agenda items pertaining to the Plan and to shorten the administrative process for their implementation.
