1. Hold a Public Hearing to consider public comments for Hidalgo County’s request to submit a Performance Statement Amendment for the Self-Help Center Program Contract #7216003 under the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA), Office of Colonia Initiative (OCI) – Colonia Self-Help Center (SHC).

2. Requesting approval to submit Performance Statement Amendment #1 to the Hidalgo County Colonia Self-Help Center Contract Grant #7216003 under the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA), Office of Colonia Initiative (OCI) – Colonia Self-Help Center (SHC) and approval of Resolution No. 1.

The current “Performance Statement” describes activities that will be undertaken in the Hidalgo County Colonia Self-Help Center (SHC) service area colonias of Whitewing Subdivision, Roadrunner # 2, Linda Vista Estates, Muñiz and Carlos Acres as identified in its 2016 Colonia SHC Program Proposal. The proposed amendment would remove the Technology Access activity. Due to unexpected circumstances, the Technology Access activity is not feasible during this contract period.  Therefore, the funds allocated to the Technology Access activity will be reallocated to the Solid Waste Removal activity and will increase the number of accomplishments from five (5) to nine (9).
