1.  Public Hearing regarding the Emergency Services – Help for Colonias Program Application to the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA). 

2.  Requesting approval of Resolution authorizing Hidalgo County Urban County Program (UCP) to submit an Emergency Services – Help for Colonias Program Application to the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA). 
 
3.  Authorization for County Judge Richard F. Cortez to sign any and all documents related to Emergency Services – Help for Colonias Program Application to the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA)

The goal of the program is to: (1) Assist colonia residents impacted by the public health and economic crisis resulting from the Coronavirus (Covid-19), (2) Focus funding on the counties identified by the legislature for Colonia Self-Help Center Assistance, and (3) Expend aging TXCDBG funds effectively to meet the current needs. Emergency SHC funds will be used for Subsistence Payments to assist low-income individuals or families whose income has been significantly reduced as a result of social distancing and other public health restrictions issued beginning March 2020
