Discussion, consideration, and/or possible action regarding the current operating balances at the County's depository bank.
BACKGROUND
Hidalgo County currently maintains operating balances with depository bank Lone Star National Bank. The Hidalgo County Treasurer's Office manages the day-to-day fiscal aspects of county funds and account balances. Under Texas Government Code Section 2257, the amount of eligible security to secure deposits of public funds may not be less that the amount of deposited funds.
