Consideration and approval to authorize the District Clerk Office to apply for funding through the Texas Bar Historical Foundation Court Records Preservation Grant Program.
BACKGROUND
Since 2012, the Historical Foundation has administered the Texas Court Records Preservation Grant Program with the goal of funding projects that take preservation and conservation action to prolong the life of historically significant and/or valuable public court records.
The District Clerk Office seeks to apply for additional funding to aid in preserving historical records from the District Court Records Archive dating back to the early 1900s. The application process requires county support and approval and has an application deadline of Monday, May 31, 2021, 5:00 p.m.
