Requesting approval of a 1st Amendment to the 2019 HOME Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) Program Agreement between Hidalgo County Urban County Program and Proyecto Azteca, Inc. The proposed amendment to the Agreement will allow for a ten (10) month contract extension.
BACKGROUND
The 2019 agreement with Proyecto Azteca included the construction of a total of three (3) to four (4) new homes for qualified families. Due to the numerous unforeseen challenging events such as: COVID-19 pandemic, Hurricane Hannah and the several significant weather events caused delays in the progress of construction housing units. As such, Proyecto Azteca has requested an extension to the 2019 CHDO Agreement from August 27, 2021 to June 27, 2022 (10 month extension).
