Discussion, consideration and approval to advance $20,000 to the US Postal Service to be held in trust in order to mail out jury summons accordingly.
BACKGROUND
The district clerk's office mails out 3,600 summons every week to meet the needs of the Hidalgo County Judicial System/Courts. The postal service will not process summons delivery unless paid in advance. The advance funds held in trust will be instrumental in avoiding any delays in jury summons delivery.
