CAPTION
“Subject to Compliance with HB 1295” the Urban County Program is requesting consideration and action to award and enter into a construction contract with Saenz Brothers Construction, the lowest responsible bidder in the amount of $3,986,172.86 utilizing funds awarded to Hidalgo County by the Texas General Land Office (GLO) under Contract No. 22-082-005-D200 for the 2016 State Mitigation Competition Phase 2 Segment C project.
BACKGROUND
The bid opening was held on September 13, 2023 and the lowest responsible bidder meeting all specifications and/or requirements was Saenz Brothers Construction. Contract includes the award of Base Bid, Alternate #1 and Alternate #3. This GLO project is entitled the Hidalgo County Main Floodwater Channel Expansion – Phase 2 Segment C. Please see attached letter of recommendation by HCDD#1, project engineers and contractor’s general liability insurance.
