1.  Requesting exemption from competitive bidding requirements pursuant to Texas Local Government Code 262.024 (a)(7)(A) an item that can only be obtained from one source because of the existence of patents, copyrights, secret processes or monopolies;

2.  Acceptance and approval of the sole source Declaration for Abbott Laboratories For the purchase of Reagents and supplies for the Abbott Architect ci400 Instrument in the amount of $38,206.58.  CDBG-CV Other Public Services funds will be used for the purchase of the reagents and supplies for the CDBG-CV Health Facility.

The Hidalgo County Urban County Program requested quotes for the purchase of reagents and supplies for the Abbott Architect ci400 Instrument for the CDBG-CV Health Facility (Bio Safety Lab).  It was determined that Abbott Laboratories was the sole provider of said supplies, therefore, a sole source declaration was requested and approved by the Purchasing Department.
