The City of Donna is requesting approval to amend a professional service contract to J.E. Saenz & Associates to increase the amount of $ 3,500.00 from the original contract amount of $18,403.00 utilizing Year 18 (2005) funds for Phase I , sewer improvements to FM 493, a Water/Sewer Improvements Project.

BACKGROUND

 J.E. Saenz & Associates bid out the project as a whole, however the bids came in over the available funding. The city is currently working on completing a budget & program amendment that will allocate an additional $110,725.79 for this project.  Consequently, the city asked J.E. Saenz & Associates to revise the project by phasing it out and therefore generating additional fees. Attached for review is an itemized scope of services and recommendation letter.  Recommendation to approve by City and UCP Staff. 

Original Contract Amount: $  18,403.00

Amended Amount:                $    3,500.00

Total New Contract:              $  21,903.00

Available Funds:                 $114,389.38     (FY 18 - 2005)
