CAPTION

Request to Submit Application for Healthy Brain Initiative (HBI) Grant

BACKGROUND

The Alzheimer's Association Public Health Center of Excellence on Dementia Risk Reduction, in collaboration with the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) and the National Association of City and County Health Officials (NACCHO), is convening local health department leaders and equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to hold community action planning meetings focused on improving brain health. Participation in the HBI Road Map Strategists Program allows local health departments to establish their agencies as leaders in dementia and receive national recognition for their efforts. Up to ten local health departments will receive up to $48,000 in funding, training, peer support, and technical assistance to establish a part-time HBI Road Map Strategist.
