1. Requesting approval of Change Order No. 2 for GLO Contract No. 22-082-005-D200, 2016 HC Main Floodwater Channel Expansion Phase 2, Segment D. This change order increases the current construction contract with B2Z Engineering, LLC by $151,638.00, covering additional work required for ditch excavation, ditch fill, and concrete rip rap.
2. Consideration and approval to authorize the County Judge to sign any and all documents associated with Change Orders and/or Amendments pertaining to GLO Contract No. 22-082-005-D200

The County of Hidalgo, through its Urban County Program and in partnership with the Texas General Land Office and Hidalgo County Drainage District No. 1, is utilizing funds from the Texas General Land Office State Mitigation Competition Flood Grant to support the Hidalgo County Main Floodwater Channel Expansion, Phase 2, Segment D, spanning from Mile 2 ½ to FM 491. With a contract amount of $9,962,444.40 and an agreement date of November 30, 2021, this project is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Community Development Block Grant - Mitigation Program and aims to restore and enhance drainage infrastructure for communities impacted by the 2016 floods.
