Urban County Program on behalf of the Precinct No. 1 is requesting authority to enter into contract with GAS Enterprises, Inc. for a construction contract for the Parks, Recreational Facility Improvements to the Precinct No. 1 (Elsa) Mario Leal Park in the amount of $456,189.00 to include the construction of baseball field, bathroom facilities, walking trail and complete preparation of fields utilizing the Hidalgo County Precinct No. 1. UCP Year 21 (2008) Precinct No. 1 Parks Recreational Facility Improvement funds will be utilized along with City of Elsa UCP Year 22 (2009) Elsa Parks, Recreational Facility Improvement funds.

Bids were opened by the Hidalgo County Purchasing Department on August 31, 2011. The architect firm of Dannenbaum Engineering reviewed the bids and recommended that the bid be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder being GAS Enterprises Inc. in the amount of $456,189.00.
