Urban County Program on behalf of the Precinct No. 1 is requesting authority to purchase Fire Station Equipment through Hidalgo County’s membership and participation with Buy Board, approved vendor Grande Truck Center (contract #358-10) in the amount of $76,325.00 (quote attached hereto) to include delivery fees and buyboard discount as requested by the Hidalgo County Precinct No. 1.  UCP Year 24 (2011) Precinct No. 1 Fire Station Equipment funds will be utilized.

BACKGROUND

The fire fighting equipment includes the purchase of a fire brush truck for the Edcouch Volunteer Fire Department, which is located within the Precinct No. 1 boundaries.  Grande Truck Center is an approved vendor through the Buy Board, Contract #358-10.  Delivery is expected within 60 – 90 days from receipt of purchase order.
