Urban County Program is requesting a one hundred (100) day contract extension on the contract with ASAGO for the construction of sewer improvements in Colonia De Anda & Saenz in Pct. # 1 under the Texas Department of Agriculture Office of Rural Affairs Colonia Construction Grant # 729055. 

UCP is requesting approval of a one hundred (100) day contract extension due to extenuating circumstances such as that we found that a sewer section of about 680 linear feet that should have connected Colonia De Anda & Saenz to a lift station was not in place. The City of Mercedes is working on acquiring the property needed for this project. Therefore, the contractor, ASAGO can’t complete the sewer improvements until the property is acquired and the section is installed and completed. The additional sewer section will have to be bid out and completed before ASAGO can continue with their sewer improvements. The contract start date is November 30, 2010 and new contract end date will be February 21, 2012.
