a.  As requested by members of CC, discussion and action on options related to Request for Proposals for:  Hidalgo County-Professional Auditing Services, incuding, but not limited to the following:

1.  Cancellation of the current format of a Request for Proposals and re-issuance (after re-advertising) as a Request for Qualifications (as customary for HC), utilizing basic qualifications, requirements, scope of services (drafted and developed by County Auditor utilizing the GFOA guidelines for professional auditing services) and changing the evaluation criteria to follow Texas Government Code 2254.004 basing the ranking on qualifications and thereafter entering into negotiations to determine fees; or,
2.    Proceed with project "as is" and continue with acceptance of responses schedule and advertised for Wednesday, December 7, 2011;

b.  Appointment and/or designation by Commissioners' Court to select/assign an evaluation committee to score/grade RFP-2011-160-12-07-SMA "Hidalgo County-Professional Auditing Services", as referenced in the procurement packet or applicable if changed to an RFQ.
