Urban County Program for the City of Peñitas is requesting consideration and action to award and enter into a Construction Contract with Celso Gonzalez Construction, Inc. for the Parks, Recreational Facility Improvements at Veterans Memorial Park in the City of Peñitas in the amount of $102,300.00 utilizing funding from UCP Year 23 (2010), Urban County Parks, Recreational Facility Improvements line item.
BACKGROUND
The bid opening was held October 12, 2011 and the lowest bidder meeting all specifications and/or requirements was Celso Gonzalez Construction, Inc. The project involves the enclosing of the pavilion, electrical upgrades, rehabilitation of backstop fence for the baseball park, and overall rehabilitation of Veterans Memorial Park located in the City of Peñitas. Please see attached recommendation by the project engineer.
