Urban County Program is requesting approval of a Budget and Program Amendment for the City of Palmview Urban County Program Year 23 & 24 (2010 & 2011). The amendment will add funding to assist with the continuation of the street improvements project on Minerva, Ruiz and Abram Road and will create a street improvements project for the Bentsen Palm Bridge.

The proposed amendment for the City of Palmview will affect the existing work plans in Year 23 & 24 (2010 & 2011). A Public Hearing was held on March 6, 2012 at 6:00 p.m., and citizen participation requirements have been met. See attached detailed amendment. The proposed budget and program amendment will amend funds as follows:

Year 23 (2010):
The proposed budget and program amendment will add $26,000.00 in surplus fire station equipment funds to the 2010 street improvements project for improvements to Minerva, Ruiz, and Abram Road.
The remaining $13,873.50 in surplus funding will create a new street improvements project to increase funding for the Bentsen Palm Drive Bridge project.

Year 24 (2011):
The proposed budget and program amendment will delete the parks, recreational facilities activity in the amount of $145,900.00 and add funding to the street improvements activity.
The amendment will create a new street improvements project in the amount of $152,900.00 for improvements to the Bentsen Palm Drive Bridge.
The remaining $123,000.00 will be utilized for the street improvements project that consists of improvements to J&O Subdivision.
