BUDGETARY IMPACT:
Available balance is $6,875,000.00 as of 5/3/12.In the UPL program Hidalgo County currently pays $8.25 million for Indigent Health Care. Under this waiver program the county would pay approximately the same (so no budgetary impact). If the county chooses to opt out of the waiver program, the funding required from the county for indigent health would revert back to the 8% GTL (approx 12.5 million).
