Urban County Program is requesting approval of a budget and program amendment for the City of Penitas, Urban County Program Years 15, 22 & 23 (2002, 2009 & 2010). The amendment will decrease the Water/Sewer and Street Improvements activities and add funding to the Parks, Recreational Facilities activity for improvements to the Veterans Memorial site located at the City of Penitas Memorial Park.
BACKGROUND
The proposed amendment for the City of Penitas will affect the existing work plans in Years 15, 22 & 23 (2002, 2009 & 2010). A Public Hearing was held on May 29th, 2012 at 6:00 p.m., and citizen participation requirements have been met. Please see attached detailed amendment. The proposed budget and program amendment will amend funds as follows for the purpose of adding funding and creating a new Parks, Recreational Facilities activity for improvements to the Veterans Memorial site which includes the purchase and installation of flagpoles, park benches, guard railings, landscaping, electrical, park equipment, a splash pad, and other appurtenances as needed for the Penitas Memorial Park, located in the City of Penitas:
Year 15 (2002)
Decrease Water/Sewer Improvement activity in the amount of $34,975.00
Create a new Parks, Recreational Facilities activity in the amount of $34,975.00
Year 22 (2009)
Decrease Street Improvements activity in the amount of $15,336.82
Create a new Parks, Recreational Facilities activity in the amount of $15,336.82
Year 23 (2010)
Decrease surplus Street Improvements activity in the amount of $85,000.00
Add funding to the existing Parks, Recreational Facilities activity in the amount of $85,000.00
Year 15 (2002)
Decrease Water/Sewer Improvement activity in the amount of $34,975.00
