Urban County Program on behalf of the City of Edcouch is requesting consideration and action to award and enter into a construction contract with United Contracting, for the flood drainage improvements project located in the City of Edcouch in the amount of $214,061.00 utilizing City of Edcouch YR’s 23 & 24 (2010 & 2011) flood drainage improvements funds.

The City of Edcouch has requested and received bids for the flood drainage improvements project. Quintanilla, Headley and Associates, Inc., prepared specification packages and bids were received and opened at the Hidalgo County – Purchasing Department on February 29, 2012. After review the project engineer recommended United Contracting, as the lowest of three (3) qualified bidders.
