Approval of request from the Lower Rio Grande Valley Development Council for local contribution in the amount of $2,000 in support of a Spanish Language Public Safety Early Weather Warning System for the Lower Rio Grande Valley.
BACKGROUND
The HMGP application requires a 25% match, which HSAC asked the LRGVDC to seek contributions from local governments.
Match requirements were based on size of jurisdictioins (small, medium, large). Hidalgo County is considered a "large" jurisdiction; therefore contribution amount is $2,000.
