Urban County Program, on behalf of the City of La Joya, is requesting consideration and action to award and enter into a construction contract with JCON Construction, LLC. for the La Joya Public Facilities Improvements project in the amount of $358,500.00, utilizing funds from UCP Years 19, 21, 22, & 24 (2006, 2008, 2009, & 2011), Urban County Public Facilities Improvements line item.

The bid opening was held November 28, 2012 and the lowest bidder meeting all specifications and/or requirements was JCON Construction, LLC. The project involves the construction of La Joya’s public library to be located on 201 Palmshores Blvd. in La Joya, Texas. Please see attached recommendation by the project architect, city’s recommendation letter and contractor’s general liability insurance. Project’s architectural firm is Alcocer Garcia Associates, Inc.
