1. Hold a Public Hearing to consider public comments for Hidalgo County Precinct No. 1’s proposed budget and program amendment for Fiscal Years 21, 22, 23, 24 & 25 (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 & 2012) original work plans and will utilize recaptured and forfeited funds for a Street Improvements activity. The amendment will also include an additional location (Heidleburg) and project description for the Parks, Recreational Facilities activities for FY 21 & 22 (2008 & 2010).

2. Requesting approval of a budget and program amendment for Hidalgo County Precinct No. 1. The proposed budget and program amendment for Fiscal Years 21, 22, 23, 24 & 25 (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 & 2012) original work plans and will utilize recaptured and forfeited funds for a Street Improvements activity. The amendment will also include an additional location (Heidleburg) and project description for the Parks, Recreational Facilities activities for FY 21 & 22 (2008 & 2010).

A Public Hearing was held on January 29, 2013 at 9:30 A.M. and citizen participation requirements have been met. Hidalgo County Precinct No. 1 proposed budget and program amendment for Fiscal Years 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 (2009, 2010, 2011 & 2012):

The proposed amendment will delete:
Parks, Recreational Facilities (2011 & 2012), Street Improvements (Progreso 2011), Street Improvements (Edcouch Recaptured 2009), Street Improvements (Forfeited Progreso Lakes 2012) activities, the location and project description for the Street Improvements (2011) activity in Country Village I & II;

The proposed amendment will decrease:
Street Improvements (solar lights) (2011) activity;

The proposed amendment will create:
Street Improvements (2009, 2010, 2011 & 2012) activity consisting of the new location on Minnesota Road;

The proposed amendment will add:
Street Improvements: the re-construction and widening of Minnesota Road from Val Verde Road East to Dillon Road (approximately 1.1 miles) in Precinct 1. The County Engineer will design and supervise the completion of the project accordingly. Construction may be provided by county labor and equipment. Project will include but is not limited to: caliche base, paving materials, testing fees, advertisements and any other related appurtenances as it pertains to the completion of the project and its surrounding and abutting areas.

Parks, Recreational Facilities: include an additional location (Heidleburg) and the following activity: project consists of construction of walking trails, purchase and installation of playground equipment and any related appurtenances as it pertains to project completion and development.
