Urban County Program (UCP) is requesting consideration and approval of the following:
1. Rescinding Resolution approved on November 20, 2012 authorizing the submission of a 2012 Colonia Economically Distressed Areas Program (CEDAP) fund application in the amount of $500,000.00,
2. Resolution authorizing the submission of a 2012 Colonia Economically Distressed Areas Program (CEDAP) fund application in the amount of $500,000.00, and
3. Authorizing the County Judge to act as the County’s Executive Officer and Authorized Representative in all matters pertaining to the County’s participation in the Texas Department of Agriculture’s Texas Community Development Block Grant Program 2012 CEDAP fund application

UCP is requesting to rescind the previously approved Resolution in order to comply with the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) CEDAP Application Guidelines which require the resolution to be adopted/passed by the governing body before the application submission and after the application public hearing (conducted November 20, 2012 @ 6:00 p.m.).

This Resolution is required as part of the County’s participation in the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) Texas Community Development Block Grant Program fund application. The funds will be utilized for Rehab: Single-Unit sewer service, to include yardline connections and decommissioning of septic tanks within colonias located in the City of Alamo and will benefit approximately 358 households.
